University Heights High School recently issued the following announcement.
The CH-UH City School District is pleased to announce our lineup of summer 2022 programming. Highlights include the return of Pre-K Tiger Cub Camp and Tiger Camp for students entering grades 1 through 6 in the fall. Middle School and High School Summer School, AP Success Camp and the Algebra Bridge Course will also be available for currently enrolled CH-UH students.
Pre-K Tiger Cub Camp
This program is for currently enrolled CH-UH Pre-K students. Tiger Cub Camp will take place at Gearity Elementary School and will run from June 6-July 1, three days (T/W/Th) per week from 9 a.m.-noon.
K-5 Tiger Camp
This program is for students entering grades 1-6 in the fall. There will be two Tiger Camp sessions. Session 1 runs from June 21-July 1 and Session 2 runs from July 11-July 22. Camp will take place at Cleveland Heights High School daily from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. The morning will consist of focused academic skill building activities (9-11:30 a.m.) and the afternoon will consist of lunch, enrichment and fun camp activities (11:30 a.m.-3 p.m.).
High School Summer School
This program is for students currently in grades 9 through 12 and is geared towards helping students earn initial credit or credit recovery courses needed for high school graduation or acceleration within the student's planned course of study. Summer School will run from June 21 through July 22 at Cleveland Heights High School. Students can take up to 2 courses in the summer session.
High School AP Success Camp
This program is geared towards supporting students prior to their 2022-2023 school year Advanced Placement Courses. Anticipated dates- early June 2022 at Cleveland Heights High School.
Middle School Summer
This program is for current middle school students who are in need of additional academic support before the 2022-2023 school year. Students will develop and practice routines, habits, and academic skills necessary for success in the fall. Middle School Summer will run from June 21-July 22 at Cleveland Heights High School.
High School/Middle School Algebra Bridge
This program is geared towards building the necessary skills for Algebra readiness. The target student population is students in grades 7 through 9 who will be taking Algebra 1 next year at the middle school or as a 9th grader. The Algebra Bridge course will take place from June 21-July 22 at Cleveland Heights High School. Successful completion of the Algebra Bridge program is not a substitute for earning the required Algebra 1 credit.
