Dalya Berezovsky | City of Beachwood
Dalya Berezovsky | City of Beachwood
On January 6, the Beachwood Fire Department was honored to have an amazing person join their ranks. Dalya Berezovsky, a friend of the department, became a Beachwood firefighter for a day!
Dalya is a Beachwood resident who, along with her mother, always shows tremendous support for the fire department and city. Dalya makes frequent station visits, writes letters and drops off tasty treats to show her love and appreciation for the BFD. Personnel at the fire department were happy to return the favor and show their appreciation. Dalya became part of the crew for the day and got to experience checking the ladder truck, checking the ambulance, riding in the engine, toured both stations and enjoyed a well-deserved lunch.
Dalya learned a lot about the daily life as a firefighter and paramedic, but the team also learned from her! She always shows courage, integrity, respect and a great attitude which are all virtues the department tries to maintain as first responders.
The Beachwood Fire Department would like to thank Dalya, her mother Wendy, Mayor Berns, City Council, Chief Holtzman and Assistant Chief Lutz for helping make the visit so memorable. Special thanks to Local 2388 members who helped organize the event and donated their time to make Dalya’s day one to remember.
Thank you for your continued support Dalya! We hope you had as much fun as we did!
