This contest can be a great opportunity for Chinese students since it creates a lot of passion in them for the language by being used in a creative context. I had a lot of fun doing this project and hope I can do it again in future years. “

Jayden Honaker said, "The Chinese Essay contest gave me the time to become a better writer. Over the years, I've become a really good hand-writer, and with this essay, I became much better at writing Chinese characters. With the exception of the rushed essay, I did, it was a good experience and definitely helped me with my handwriting and recognition of Chinese words.”

Andrew Engelmann said, "In Chinese class, we participated in an essay contest. It was an exciting experience to have work judged by a third party. We got to really know how skilled we were in the language we had been learning. I earned the silver award.”
