Dave’s Shore Center wrapping up total store remodel

4

Improvements include new refrigeration units, flooring, lighting,  décor, bakery and deli improvements and expanded variety across all departments.

If you’ve been to Dave’s at East 222nd and Shore Center recently, you’ve probably noticed some changes. Dave’s Supermarket is in the final stages of a full remodel to their 47,348 sqft Euclid location- with customer-centric improvements aimed to mirror their successful flagship location in Midtown.

The first thing customers might notice are the layout changes- bringing an eyeful of wonderfully fresh fruits and vegetables to the front of the store. Also headlining the store remodel were new counter-height fresh food coolers, new standing refrigeration units, new flooring, updated lighting, new décor, bakery and deli improvements and expanded variety across all departments.

Customers will also find updated signage featuring local street names- with like-products grouped on aisles titled “Lakeshore” or “Farrington”. This new product organization makes it easier to locate items and makes navigating aisles faster. Dave’s is also offering a more efficient checkout process with the addition of self-checkout lanes for a quick grab-and-go shopping experience.

According to David Saltzman, a 5th generation member of the Dave’s ownership family- the new remodel and the store’s updated offerings are tailored to the Euclid store’s customer base. That includes the addition of more locally sourced products, as well as additional hot and prepared food options that meet the current and growing needs of our bustling community.

“The new Dave’s Market and Eatery will provide Euclid with access to healthy, fresh and affordable food,” said Saltzman. “More than a traditional supermarket, the new food-court style eatery will make the new store a community hub and gathering space.”

Dave’s new eatery plans to provide restaurant quality food options for every palate, as well as the hot and cold food staples the neighborhood already loves. New eatery made-to-order and grab-and-go offerings will include hand-rolled sushi, delicious Japanese hibachi, toasted subs, Grandpa Dave’s fried chicken, and a fully-stocked soup and salad bar.

“We hope the addition of the eatery will make Dave’s a first-choice lunch and dinner option for those who live and work here,” added Saltzman. “It will be great food, it will be served quickly and will let people get what they need and get back to work.”

These pre-made selections will be available in addition to fresh and local produce, Euclid’s largest selection of meat (cut fresh daily), a large deli, and a bakery with expanded offerings. Dave’s will continue to stock all of the grocery items customers need for their regular shopping, as well as increased local product offerings, and enhanced beer and wine selections.

“The company is thrilled to be able to re-invest significantly in Euclid,” says Saltzman, who is planning a grand opening for the newly remodeled store in late Spring 2022. Visit www.cityofeuclid.com for more updates as the project moves towards completion.
