Of the 27,148 people living in Shaker Heights in 2020, 54 percent (14,673) were women and 46 percent (12,475) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the East Cleveland News.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by 1,559. In the 65 and over age range, there were 2,974 females and 2,180 males.
