Malala Yousafazai
That is her name
She spoke across worlds
So who?
Young girls in Mingor, Pakistan
Who would be future women
Have a chance to be more than housewives
Do more than clean the house
To be something greater
A chance to reach their full potential
By getting an education,
Having a chance to graduate
She fought back against the Taliban
So that young girls who wanted to read
Who wanted to learn math
Who wanted to learn history and science
Could get a chance to do so
So they don’t have to hide their books
Worry about their school blowing up
or getting acid thrown at their face
She even took bullet to the head
So young girls can get a good education
And still kept fighting
She is no ordinary girl
She continues to make a difference with her life
She loves to learn
And wanted other girls to get the chance too
Her name
Her name
Is Malala Yousafzai
