Board of Education Reaches Tentative Contract Agreement With Teachers Union

Cleveland Heights-University Heights recently issued the following announcement.

The Cleveland Heights-University Heights Board of Education has reached a tentative agreement with the Cleveland Heights Teachers Union (CHTU) Local 795. On March 8, the 

Union ratified the three-year agreement through June 30, 2025, with 92% approval from the membership. The current contract was set to expire June 30 of this year. The Board of 

Education will meet to vote on a recommendation to approve the tentative agreement on March 15, 2022.

"We are grateful to our skilled colleagues represented by the CHTU for their daily dedication to achieving our District’s mission," said Board of Education President Malia Lewis. 

"These educators have navigated many challenges and changes these last couple of years, with their commitment to their students’ success remaining strong. We look forward to 

continuing the District’s productive relationship with these talented employees and with their union leadership."
