Cleveland Heights-University Heights City School District recently issued the following announcement.
The CH-UH City School District's finance department has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its comprehensive annual financial report for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2020.
The award was given by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA). The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting. According to the GFOA, its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management.
"This award demonstrates our continuing commitment to high quality financial reporting and transparency. Producing the CAFR is aligned to our strategic goal of keeping residents informed," said Scott Gainer, CH-UH Chief Financial Officer/Treasurer.
The report has been judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, which includes demonstrating a constructive "spirit of full disclosure" to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report.
