CITY OF CLEVELAND WATER POLLUTION CONTROL: High recycling contamination in Cleveland costs city its contract; Cuyahoga County not at risk

Recycling

City of Cleveland Water Pollution Control issued the following announcement on Oct. 17.

While the City of Cleveland re-evaluates its city-wide recycling program, residents and businesses are being asked to continue separating recyclables as usual.

Keeping residents in the habit of separating their recycling is a good idea so they don’t have to start again when a new contract is reached, explained Diane Bickett, Executive Director of the Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District. For more about proper recycling, go to cuyahogarecycles.org.
