Cleveland Hospital Primary Care Hospital issued the following announcement on Oct. 9.
The role of hospital charities has never been more important.
And under the umbrella of NHS Charities Together, they play a key role in supporting health and social care settings across the country.
Alongside funding for state-of-the-art equipment and pioneering research, the charities also help with those little extras over and above what the NHS routinely provides.
These are things like electronic tablets, sleep pods, sensory gardens and other items that enhance patient and staff morale — both things that are crucial at this difficult time.
Following the generosity of the nation and fundraising efforts from the likes of Captain Tom Moore and the NHS 5K, NHS charities have raised a massive £130 million since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic!
