Shaker Heights home prices fall in the second half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2017 in Shaker Heights fell by $4,510 while total sales increased by 50%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2017, there were 324 homes sold, with a median sale price of $172,490 - a 2.5% decrease over the $177,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 216 homes sold in Shaker Heights in the second half of 2016.

The median sales tax in Shaker Heights for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $8,232, approximately 4.8% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2017.
