Shaker Heights home prices rise in the first half of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2018 in Shaker Heights rose by $7,250 while total sales increased by 54.9%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June of 2018, there were 347 homes sold, with a median sale price of $174,750 - a 4.3% increase over the $167,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 224 homes sold in Shaker Heights in the first half of 2017.

The median sales tax in Shaker Heights for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $8,232, approximately 4.7% of the median home sale price for the first half of 2018.
