Shaker Heights home prices rise in the second half of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2019 in Shaker Heights rose by $6,550 while total sales decreased by 8.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2019, there were 282 homes sold, with a median sale price of $179,500 - a 3.8% increase over the $172,950 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 308 homes sold in Shaker Heights in the second half of 2018.

The median sales tax in Shaker Heights for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $8,232, approximately 4.6% of the median home sale price for the second half of 2019.
